rand Magister Do-Jin
Leader of the Eclipse Court (Sig Beob-won), a surviving Cheonmugwan scholar who believes the Fracturing was a beginning rather than a disaster, and the long-term antagonist of the world.
Who he was
Do-Jin was the youngest of the original high scholars of the Cheonmugwan (천무관, Celestial Martial Court), the order of scholar-sorcerers whose ritual broke the Celestial Pillars and tore the boundary between realms. He was a prodigy. His ambition outweighed his empathy.
What he became
Like the other survivors of the Cheonmugwan, Do-Jin stood at the very center of the Fracturing and was washed over by Maggi (막기) at its purest form. The survivors suffer the agony of immortality, their bodies deeply disfigured with only small vestiges of their prior selves visible, many missing senses (eyes ruined, ears burned over, mouths sealed shut), their skin crawling with black lines of corruption.
Do-Jin’s body is heavily mutated by Maggi, but he wields it with terrifying elegance.
What he believes
Do-Jin leads the Eclipse Court (Sig Beob-won, 식법원), the faction of survivors who hold that the original ritual did not fail. To them it was the first step. They do not see Maggi as corruption; they see it as the ultimate evolution of Giun (기운). Before the Maggi they were powerful but mortal. Now they are immortal, and they believe the next step will make them more powerful still and remake the world into the form it was always meant to take.
He is not explicitly evil. He simply knows he is right, and holds that those who do not see things his way are wrong.
Toward players
If Do-Jin interacts with a player, he is not outright hostile. If anything, he is intrigued. The bible marks him as the long-term antagonist, the central villain of the larger conflict.
