The Monk tutor of Seonhwa, loud and warm where Grandmaster Tae-Sung is silent and severe, but pointed at the same goal of pushing young monks to better themselves.
Gun-Woo is loud, boisterous, and excitable. He pushes young monks onward with a smile and encouraging words. He can often be found doing calisthenics while explaining new techniques.
The bible frames him as both the opposite and the same of Grandmaster Tae-Sung, the Head Monk. Tae-Sung is a minimalist in word and manner who delivers his compassion by demanding strength and offers no easy words. Gun-Woo arrives at the same end (driving a recruit to improve) through warmth and open encouragement rather than imposing weight and silence.
Role
As Monk tutor, Gun-Woo handles early instruction for recruits on the Noeho (뇌호) path of inner Giun and martial discipline, the work that later passes up to Tae-Sung. The specifics of his backstory, rank history, and any name etymology are unspecified in the source.
